Hi guys! Today we are going to learn all about blackheads and how to remove them. we are going to learn how to use items from the kitchen to remove nasty blackheads.
First, let's learn a little bit about blackheads. They occur when skin debris combines with oil to block the pores. They are black in color not because they are "dirty" but because they are oxidized. This means, that when oxygen touches these pores. Whiteheads are caused by the same oils as blackheads, but they are covered by skin. Most people have blackheads on the sides of their nose and chin. Some skin products might increase blackheads, or comedones, by blocking pores. One of the best ways to help eliminate blackheads is to wash your face daily. This will eliminate buildup. However, even if you follow this step, blackheads will remain. Also, washing or scrubbing the skin too much could make it worse, by irritating the skin. Touching and picking, however, tempting, might cause irritation and spread infection.
One method is the nutmeg and buttermilk method. Nutmeg helps get rid of oil, and it also gently scrubs skin leaving behind really smooth skin. The lactic acid in buttermilk helps break down old skin cells so they disappear when you rinse your face, leaving behind fresh, clean skin.
Another simple scrub is made from baking soda and water. The baking soda scrubs the dead skin cells away, leaving room for new cells.
Next, we are going to use honey to pull the blackheads out of the pores. Simply pour a small amount of honey on your fingers and pat the areas on your face where you want to remove blackheads. The honey will stick to the junk in your pores, and pull it out as you remove your fingers. As honey has anti-bacterial properties, your pores will not oxidize as quickly.
A classic method for ridding skin of acne and blackheads is mud masks. Mud masks remove dirt and oil from your pores. When you wash your face after putting the mask on, the masks take away bacteria and dead cells along with them. We are going to make our own mud mask out of cosmetic clay and water. You can buy cosmetic clay online or at herb shops. There are many different types of clay out there. Combine 1 tablespoon clay with 1 tablespoon water and stir until you have a paste without lumps in it. Spread over your whole clean face, or just the areas where you have blackheads. Allow this to dry for 15-20 minutes. Take a warm, wet washcloth and press it to the mask for a few seconds, and then slowly and gently wipe off.
Good luck!
