KARACHI: Following a video drifted on social media in regards to a man wearing a police uniform openly mortifying a lady, the DIG South late on Wednesday reported that the suspect, who he asserted is a security watchman, has been captured from Hijrat province range of the city.
The video had uncovered a shocking Incident of public humiliation and ruthlessness against a lady, blamed for a claimed burglary, being viciously compelled to admit to the wrongdoing directly before a tyke, notwithstanding a group looking over out of sight.
According to the DIG South, the suspect was a security guard of a local company and unlawfully wore a police uniform. He included that two office-bearers of Gulf Shopping Center, where the occurrence purportedly occurred, were likewise taken into care.
Investigative authorities revealed that an FIR was lodged against the lady for robbery in Clifton Police Station a year ago. She was subjected to torment by the authorities of the shopping center before being given over to police on Muharram 7 (October 21).
